Clos de Tart Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2006
The 2006 Clos de Tart was one of the better wines from Sylvain Pitiot's era. It has evolved a little since my last tasting in 2018. The broody black fruit on the nose still oddly harks toward Bordeaux. It's not as tight-fisted as before. The palate is structured with a lot of substance; what it lacks in elegance, it compensates with sheer bravura. Perhaps it just lacks the precision on the finish to compel you back for another sip. This wine is for those who seek Burgundy Grand Cru with body. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2000
2000 vintage. Never a fave L-B vintage as it has always seemed a little too much sizzle and not enuff steak. FF two decades and said wine is drinking more like a Napa cab vs a BDX. Chunky and in a state of transition (discombobulated) but still medium-heavy body after two+ decades. The 2005 is more affordable and drinking better, imho, currently. Will this effort will ever round into form for dedicated L-B fans going back to the 1985 vintage? Not tasting it. Storybook fill and cork. Decanted and tasted immediately, after 30 mins and after two hours. Aggressive sed. 7.3.24. — 2 days ago

Saint-Èmilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2003
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2003 pours a deep ruby with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some light light sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated dark fruits, green bell pepper, leather, tobacco, earth, and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and satisfying. This was pretty impressive right out of the gate and seemed to show really well despite the challenging (historically hot at the time) vintage. Drink now through 2044. — 12 days ago

Amazing consistency, oxidative notes with apricots and apple cider. On the palate, green apples , sherry notes and citrus zest. What separated the bottles were the various levels of freshness. All were enjoyable but none had that “wow” factor. My rating is a composite. — 4 days ago

2014 vintage. Decanted. Yes, decanted. Let this warm up a tad from the 39 degree storage. Ridiculous lemon curd, orange peel, "minerality" and just ripened Anjou pear hither and fro. Tasted 1.25 hours after decanting and slowly warming up (tasted at approx 64 degrees). Rocking now and in the zone for the next 4-5 years without difficulties/speedbumps.
