A big wine in a big bottle that made a big group of friends very happy. The 2017 Evangelho Heritage (from magnum) is energetic with loads of sweet dark fruit. It doesn’t lack zing even though this year’s blend is short in Carignan — there are nice balancing acids and mild tannins. It is richer and riper than many vintages but still vibrant. — a month ago

Red raspberry and spicy, very youthful, fruit, outstanding acidity, whereas the 2020 from earlier seems ready, this wine needs 3-5 years to peak, long, lingering finish, outstanding Zin!! I can only imagine how fantastic the single vineyard 2023 Bedrock Zins in 5-7 years! — a month ago

Pale gold in color; yellow apples, almonds, and cream on the nose; high acidity; tastes like lemon, chamomile, and wet gravel with a medium finish. Still not convinced I'm a champagne person, but I get the appeal. Nellie likes it. — 9 days ago
