First time with WS in a while. Almost a pogeba. Really liking it so far. Lemon curd, acidity and tension. Excited to try the same in a few years. — 3 months ago
Found four more and this one drinking nicely. Light almost see through colors. Floral nose with zero metallic notes. Limpid lively texture. — 7 months ago
A fantastic ‘11! No doubt in a leaner style but there’s clear Fourrier signature and it’s so fresh, with absolutely zero greenness, just beautiful floral perfume and bright red cherry fruit that waft from the glass. The palate gains notably in weight and intensity and its pure, focused and saline-mineral inflicted finishes keeps on lingering. Great showing for a vintage I generally avoid in reds. — 8 months ago
Elegant, aromatic with light red fruit balanced by wet rocks, minerality — a month ago

One of my favorite CdP producers. I opened this alongside a buddy’s 2009 CSJ Deus Ex Machina and it was really intriguing to see the differences.
60 Grenache/20 Syrah/remainder a blend.
Quick bottle decant before diving in. While ready to go, an hour full-decant would probably be a good call at this stage, but not required. Where the Ex Machina was more high toned and layered (thanks to the blend), this was more up-front and plush. Violets and spiced berry compote aromatically. Dark berry fruit, sweet pipe tobacco and fig dominate the palate. Extremely concentrated (not extracted), with a savory graphite profile at the finish. Would have sworn Mourvèdre was heavy in this. Really impressive on opening. Tastes like a Pinot noir should. Cherries, rose, a bit of fern like hiking in CA redwood grove, there’s some strawberry, some dust, plum skin. Interestingly the aftertaste, maybe 20 seconds later suddenly has a sweetness to it that I really enjoy. Drinking really well now on opening. Grateful to try this. — 11 days ago
