Château Simone

Palette Grand Cru de Provence White Rhone Blend 2016

Always so refined, with a beautiful amber color and bold nose of crunchy, ripe yellow fruit. Nose has notes of lemongrass, fennel and lemon rind, and like, moth balls, or something that reminds one of grandma’s house potpourri. Medium to full bodied, with a bold mouthfeel, notes of overripe opal apple, golden fig, latex, hints of pineapple and amber, and a loooong finish that sizzles with energy long after the sip is finished. — 4 months ago

Lamborn Family Vineyards

Proprietor Grown Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

2007 vintage poured on December 31, 2022. Dark in the glass, tannins have smoothed out and still strong raspberry and cherry on the palette. Paired with Beef Wellington and a green peppercorn sauce. Admittedly the sauce overpowered the wine. — 3 years ago

Radio-Coteau

La Neblina Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2016

Piercing nose. Light in body. Bright palette. This shows as fresh and bright, lighter flowers, tart red fruits and rose water. — 5 years ago

Château Lilian Ladouys

Saint Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

Not normally a red blend fan - but this is a exceptional as it’s smooth, satisfying and rich. Finishes well: Well balanced and completely structured as a great glass all around from initial nose to last finish on the palette! — a year ago

Château Lynch-Bages

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Coming from a hot vintage this wine was a bit more fruit forward than typical. Tar and cassis on the palette complemented the nose of a damp forrest floor. A nice albeit not great drink! — 4 years ago
