Well balanced with med acidity. Ripe cherry that lingers on the pallet. Great wine with our red sauce pasta dinner.. A Joe Godas selection — 3 months ago
Lighter than the pagliaro, and not as good but still very good. — 2 months ago

Let her open up a bit. Rustic and medium bodied, earthy, just like a Umbria wine should taste — 3 days ago
The 2016 a big wine & ready to drink at its peak. Open and decanted for 30 minutes- plenty of acidity and structure. On the nose and on the palate, tart fruit- dark cherry and raspberry- and cardamon spice. After 45 minutes open the wine softened and opened beautifully. My estimate is that It should be drinking well through 2027. — 2 months ago
First pour is lithe and delicate. With a few hours decant, not the most full bodied, but very accessible at less than nine years from vintage. Drying tannins, subtle secondary notes on palate. — 15 days ago

A more leaner rendition of this varietal, but in a good way. Nose displays clean cinnamon and toast. Palate is broad and expansive, yet light on its feet. A kiss of vanilla pod and black fruits conclude an excellent presentation. This is an intellectual wine.
