Rich, balanced Pinot that opened up after 3 hours of air. Cherry cola flavors dominated with just a hint of earth. I enjoyed the wine with rack of lamb but truth be told I liked the bouquet more than the wine. — 2 months ago
Lovely. Yeast, lemon, apple, and a bit of minerality. — 2 months ago
What a Pinot should be. Light, flowery, with light red fruit, with a hint of blueberry up front. Very nice wine. — 11 days ago
IMO it’s the perfect amount of dry. We had it with seasoned, baked chicken. A delicious offering in the $35 range (at time of rating). — 2 months ago
Good balance of lemon and oak on the palate. Good to drink now. February 2025. — 15 hours ago
Vintage 2021 | This cuvée impressed me deeply: refinement and elegance, touches of vanilla and butter. Much better than eg mediocre Meursault. Lovely. Thought it was my first time but delectable shows me it is the third (139 and 501 weeks ago). Tonight it stuck me most. Must put some in the cellar. — 22 days ago
Dark, inky crimson with a pale rose rim.
Bouquet of a forest of brambles and vegetables.
A sort of salinity sits in the center of the flavor, rounded out by other mineral complexities. The finish is medium-long with some acidity. — 2 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley, with caves that extend for over a mile. Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruit, sweet oak, spice and floral scents. On the palate flavors of ripe peach, melon and apple, with vanilla spice, creamy texture. Medium+ finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with mineral notes. — 15 days ago
