A punchy nose with struck match, honeyed lime. Stone and flint. Rick and great acidity subtly laced throughout. Excellent — 4 months ago

Purchased wine during visit to the winery’s tasting room in Los Olivos in 2021. Syrah-based blend sourced from seven cool climate vineyards. 95% Syrah, 4% Grenache and 1% Viognier. Black, blue and red fruits with notes of meat, tobacco, smoke and garrigue. — 2 months ago
Traditional Bordeaux-Style blend. Very dark ruby color with slight hints of purple. Savory aromas of earth, baking spices, herbs and black cherries. Ripe plum and black cherry flavors with additional hints of baking spices, tobacco and dried herbs. Pleasant creamy vanilla oak note on the long finish. Dusty tannins and well balanced. Opulent, complex and still quite fresh for a ten year old wine. — 2 months ago
First night open: 20 year old vintage— chocolate on the nose with a stone fruit finish. Tasted clean and complex with an almost immediate light evaporation in your mouth leaving you with the feeling of bubbles dissolving. Delicious. — 3 months ago

Favorite bottle of Saxom I’ve tried. Lovely ripe fruit, balance medium body, lingering finish. — 8 days ago
