Decant and pour. A splendid dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: inviting aeromatics jump from the glass with dark cherry jam, graphite, herbaceous, vanilla oak, floral. On the palate, firm, slightly bitter tannins and medium-plus acidity give it structure, but it’s still a bit tight—best with a long decant. Medium-plus finish. Too young for now; best to revisit in a few years.
