Well balanced and aged beautifully. Did this in a blind tasting and guessed 2007-2009 as the fruit was still so prominent and pronounced but in a nice way. Tannins were so well integrated and there was still nice structure. Crowd pleaser! — a month ago

One Point Five Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

8/2025. This 2008 is still full of flavor and boldness. Wish I could have tasted it in 2012. — 9 days ago

Nose of plum, black fruit. Very closed right after open, much better after 3 hours decant. Full body with intense dark fruit, gravel and dusty flavors. — 16 days ago

Napa Valley Zinfandel 2016

Classic Napa zin. Not a overbearing fruit bomb here. A producer who's cut their teeth & knows how to vinify w/ out the added garbage. — 6 years ago

The mocha is strong with this one. So is the mint. Let's call it a York Peppermint Patty.
Listening to Tripping Daisy. Was never a fan, but they killed it last night and I got to chat up the singer. Their music would be better with Gamay.

My two-day Pork Chop marinade. I have found the Long Shadows Poet Leap to be the perfect pairing.

Here is the recipe. Try it sometime.

4-6 thick cut bone-in pork chops

- 1 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of Tamari soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sherry vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 2 scallions chopped
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of Lee Kim Kee brand chili sauce
-1 1/2 teaspoons of ginger finely chopped (I triple this)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of garlic finely chopped (again.
I double this)
- 3/4 cup of cilantro finely chopped (no stems)
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil

Napa Valley Chardonnay 2012

Stags’ Leap Chardonnay 2023
Napa Valley, California, USA

This sophisticated Chardonnay includes 1% Viognier and undergoes a unique oak and steel regimen: 50% neutral French oak, 25% new French oak, and 25% stainless steel, all aged for 4½ months. The result is a wine that is bright, aromatic, and layered with complexity.

✨ Aromas: Lemon crème, white pineapple, and ripe melon, lifted by delicate citrus blossom and magnolia notes that linger beautifully.
✨ Palate: Full-bodied and richly textured, offering Golden Delicious apple, Asian pear, and lemon curd. The mid-palate brings in warm vanilla, brioche toast, and ginger spice, balanced by exotic floral tones.
✨ Finish: Long, creamy, and satisfying, with whispers of lychee and a refined mineral edge.

Pair with grilled scallops, lobster, or other fine white seafood for a perfect harmony of flavors. Cheers!🥂
