Jess and I many many bottles. Very Nice. + Beautiful — 2 years ago
Tonight we have opened the 2017 Au Bon Climat Santa Maria Valley Knox Alexander Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is strawberry, cranberry, cherry, spice, mushroom, cola, lavender, forest floor and earth.
On the palate there is strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, cherry, spice, red currant, smokey oak, forest floor and earth.
This is a medium bodied wine with a plush mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium fine polished tannins that lead to a long red fruit earthy finish. I hope everyone is doing well and have great plans for this weekend. Have a wonderful time with family and friends, please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 3 years ago
Seems like I like this better than everyone else.
Balanced tart fruit and crisp tannins.
A touch of persimmon / cardamom sophistication.
A bit subtle for a cab.
Just a touch sweet for me. Maybe a touch oaky… but that’s being pretty picky. — 2 years ago
When I’m not drinking a Napa Cab, I reach for a Jordon. Blend of 80% Cab Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot & 2% Malbec, aged 13 months in 100% French oak (35% new). Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruit, floral and an array of herb spices. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and fig with oak, vanilla spice, leather and cacao notes. Rich fine tannins, well balanced and integrated with fruit and oak. Very Nice! Will age well. Just had this with a fillet mignon, Nice! — 9 months ago
Definitely will have it again. We decanted for half an hour - one hour, and it was amazing! The only bad thing, its that I only had one bottle! — 2 years ago
Completely opaque. Purple and garnet with nice legs. Smells like bold cherry and dark fruit. A little sweet with some tartness I didn't expect toward the end. Cherry, raspberry, blackberry. Light tannin. I wonder how this would taste if I let it sit a while. Pretty good, decently priced. — 4 years ago
On 8-26-19, I turned 52. I am now obsessed with cards, since I am now playing with a full deck!
My first exposure to this winery. Nice big cab, with veggie notes, green bell pepper, rosemary. Really nice.

This is my favorite Zinfindel blend from Ridge. I like it/them more with 8-10 years of bottle age. But this 2023 drank very well young. One of the best current releases I’ve had in a while. Fresh as it was very recently bottled! 93+ in time.
Sirloin Steak was tip top.
Pebble Beach Food & Wine 2025.
The ticket to this event has a pretty big price tag. But when you consider what a Napa etc. tasting or two and lunch would cost you, you are pretty much there and there is so much more than that. It ends up having great value. It’s wine, spirits and food candy land. — 9 days ago
