Light/medium body, golden color with green hues intertwined. Strong nose of rubber or latex, candied white fruits, bubble gum powder, and maybe some jasmine as well? After a week of being open it still had great energy, good acidity and a clean, mineral finish with crisp, white and yellow fruit flavors lingering LONG after the first sip, with notes of hay, ethanol and maybe some apricot or cumquat. Very well crafted, old world, and complex dry Riesling. — a year ago
What a nose. Huge minerals, herbs, vanilla extract, flowers. Really herbal and perfumed. Also some sort of tree bark and tonic aromas. Huge intense palate with that 21 edge. Salty, crunchy and intense. Long and pure. Terrific inner mouth aromas. Concentration. So juicy and long. Elegant. So pure. Refreshing. Salty. So so long. The finish is so good. — 4 years ago
Nose is a spice bomb. Dried, desiccated leaves. Some mid season cherry, wet earth and everything about the nose says aged but with some youthful vigor. Palate is lush and rich, really good, with great concentration and freshness. Nimble and with wonderful acidity and such purity. Velvety sweet tannins and so focused. This is drinking so well. Terrific sweetness and love the classical structure. Long finish and still got some fuel to burn. Even better in 5-8 years. With air this gets so juicy and the energy really shines through. Wow the elegance shines through after 2 hours. 9.5 now. — 9 months ago
Smells like a Riesling, honey and citrus, sweetness that isn't overpowering and is balanced by some minerality. Perfect pairing for spicy food! — 8 months ago

Our final lunch in Cairns last Sunday for the boys weekend away. A wonderful lunch at the Salt House on the Cairns waterfront. No formal notes. Pepik is the 2nd label of Josef Chromy from the East coast of Tasmania. Red fruits on nose and palate with a little white pepper. A good match with the superb seafood curry. — 5 years ago
