The Arsonist California Petit Verdot Blend 2021

Clear, deep ruby in color (almost purple); on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of black cherries, cassis, and graphite; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of black plum, violets, blueberries, and wet slate with a long finish. This wine is intense and complex, but could use a bit more acidityto balance the fruit. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie liked it with food. — a month ago

Try the Riserva….it’s incredible.

Louis Roederer

Cristal Brut Champagne Chardonnay Pinot Noir Blend 2014

There is a vibrancy you noticed right away with a fine bead of bubbles. It is quite youthful and a few years of aging will help the wine meld together a bit better. Drink it now if you need to as it won’t disappoint. — a month ago

Château Plince

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

@Paul T HB A wine with lovely depth of fruit and ripeness, yet always refined and integrated with ripe fruit, fresh acidity and a long and satisfying finish. It needs another 5 years. I decanted for an hour. 🤷🏽‍♂️✌🏼🍷😊 — a month ago

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

If someone had never tasted a Napa Valley Cab, I would happily pour this for reference. It's bold and great. I'm enjoying the balance of ripe, dark fruit with tasteful oak additions. There's a hint of eucalyptus, and pleasant leathery tannins. I personally would take this over Silver Oak or Heitz with my ribeye, and that's not just my wallet talking. $50 well spent.
Listening to Arctic Monkeys, again.

Château d'Orignac

Pineau des Charentes

Delicious, amber colour. Quite sweet with apricot and dried fruit flavours. Fortified with Brandy rather than pure spirit. It was delicious and popular with the cheese course at my 60th birthday meal in the Captain's House in Lydd. — a month ago

Melville

Anna's Block Pinot Noir 2021

So much flavor. Explosion of fruit but also some spice and curry. It tastes like st Rita hills Pinot. Such a classic flavor for me. Cherries, strawberry, baking spice, spearmint, earthy flavors. Maybe the curry I smell. Good acidity. Such a crowd pleaser but also complex to make me happy. — a month ago

Château Lynch-Bages

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%), Merlot (19%), Cabernet Franc (6%) and Petite Verdot (3%). Dark garnet/ruby/purple/black color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, rose petals, cigar box and smoked meat. Flavors of blackberry, black currant and black plum fruit with additional hints of tobacco, black olives and cloves. Long lasting velvety finish. Full bodied with noticeable (but well integrated) tannins. Beautiful freshness. Rich and powerful but so well balanced. Consistently outstanding vintage after vintage. Could continue to age for decades! — a month ago

Unico Ribera del Duero Tempranillo Blend 2010

Layered exotic and supple. This is definitely in the zone. There is a lot going on. Rich dark fruit. Ripe currants, smoke and earthy. Decanted. Give it 20-30 minutes to open. — a month ago
