Brown ale brown tinged with red amber. Cream soda colored topping. Orange amber after the cloud break. Chunky casserole or ground beef in cartoon contrast lacing turns to logo eye dot and eyebrow. Owl last gasp and finally Punch’s nose shape. Rich scents of sassafras and nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice, sweet coffee and sweet roll. All of the aforementioned meld wonderfully on the palate, with a resonant mouth coat. This is great this year!! Excellent work. Captures the pumpkin and the season.

Hard poured this inky octopus to a pattern-bald, latte-afro pate with dancing nematode swirls in space riffs. Sticky cellulite ‘lacing’ painting the glass with stain-stars. Black. Burnt baklava aromas, maple char, black chocolates with windowsill mint, malty dark caramel, baked aromas. Coffee and resinous chocolate, baked maple syrup, poppy torts, rye bread with dark caramel, baked chocolate with ganache for a sleepover, Thai coffee reduction, treacle, a sweet black pepper and sassafras and dark rum sprouting fresh vanilla bean. Intensely variegated, layered, concentrated. The Dagwood of imperial stouts. Piled 6 feet high, enjoy with a friend, horizontally. .

Dark gold leaning into amber with a yellow green aura around white locks. Roosters, snakes and rooster-snakes slither under curtained films and alligators backing off lacings. Sweet nose evokes white cherry and strawberry-kiwi, guava, hibiscus and pineapple, lemon, grapefruit and clementine. Less fruity palate amplifies the citrus with clementine, tangerine and kumquat in the fore and a tsunami of lemon and lemon oil reminding. Lemon grass and lemon verbena beside cannabis and sage. Hoppy happy.

Perfect sheet of fog lacing falls like a slo-mo curtain to reveal layer two of mountain snows reflecting moonlight. Nose of bananas foster in all its blazing brandy and it’s caramelized olfactory topography; a malt image in sensory sepia to match the mountainscape. Nutmeg, cola and pecan dessert vies with baklava. The palate is a revelation in balance. Red gold body with a Matisse sketched white ring and merengue peaked, sheet-lacing. Clean citrus nose exhibiting clementine and dried pineapple, Meyer lemon and a faint funky-persimmon and lotus. There is something pleasant about the naturalness of the aromatics here with dried lemon verbena and Calloway seed. Orange and tangerine eclipse the lemon on the palate and add sweet grapefruit, and a clove note that tightly binds the whole. The bitterness being mitigated by the maple was brilliant here! Makes the Dogfish 90 seem clunky in comparison. I am a fan of this manifestation. Careful crafting and a simple solution to tune aggressive hops. There is no maple flavor btw. .

Opened about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2020 pours, a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium viscosity, with light staining of the tears and some signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing and a touch volatile. There are notes of being cherry, wild brambles, red and purple flowers, varnish, and dry earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose the finish is medium+. This is a soulful if not brilliant wine that gives me Paolo Bella vibes. Drink now through 2030. — 5 months ago

Cloudy urine colour. With marshmallow creme enamel topping. Alpine sunrise lacing. Yeasty nose shows chive and beet greens. Grapefruit and black lime. Full palate creaminess turns sharp with lemon pith and oil surfacing. Microgreens and dried apricot form the parameters while yeasty pomelo notes bolster the core. Very zingy finish that refreshes the palate and adds substance.

Black bear body with blonde grizzlies piled high, atop. Licorice, espresso bean, toffee, dark chocolate, burnt honey, dried violets, dried black cherries and rich malt aromas. Sarsaparilla taste, with dark, sweet coffee, dark chocolate, baked raisin, dried black cherry, dried black currant and licorice. Stupendously supple integration of all elements! The bitter bits are a perfect counterbalance. .
