Sangiovese / sagrantino / montepulciano blend from hilltop vineyard, several years of tank and cask ageing but no new wood. Huge wine but somehow manages to be lively and dimensional. Dark, fleshy red and black fruits with lots of savory, herbal and floral elements — a month ago

What a lovely and delightful wine! We served it along with a root vegetable pot roast over jalapeño cheddar grits, and all of my guests thought it worked really well. It has enough strength and backbone along with graceful bright fruit, and that fabulous Italian acidity. What a wonderful food wine. — 18 days ago
Wine is dark ruby, with purplish on the edge. On nose its ripe fruit, floral parfumed, oak in there, violets, tobacco. On palate, wine is full bodied, jammy, fine acidity, tannic, wine is open up after 1 hour decant. The intensity is there. Its still too young to drink. Try it after 2026. Red bordeaux blend, Cheers! — a month ago

Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — a month ago

2021 vintage. Medium-heavy body. Chunky with moments of clarity and moments of chaos. When it rolls in at the resto price waay under $30, compelled to pick up 4 cases. A fave Italian producer and this does nothing to dispel those feelings. 01.15.25. — 4 days ago
