Castello D'alba

Barbera d'Alba 2022

Cherry, acid, delicious! Great with anything red sauce and mild cheese. This is a party drink for good casual times. Barbecues, late night pizza, or 3rd bottle of wine for the night. This is a good bet. — a month ago

Serralunga d'Alba Barolo Nebbiolo 2018

Really a quite nice Barolo from a producer I hadn’t had before. Quite accessible at this stage - not at all over oaked or anything - but still in a “more modern” style. Some nice delicacy in the glass - the fruit, earth, and acid all expressing well. — a month ago

Dolcetto d'Alba 2018

See several previous Delectable notes. Deeply coloured but not deep in palate - medium bodied. Liquorice and almonds, a juicy palate. Finishes with a skinnsy bitter note. Great with free range chicken legs. Probably best drunk young. From a highly reputable producer in GD Vayra. My last bottle of 6. — a month ago
