This scratches that white burgundy itch at a relative bargain price (for white burgundy). Love the just-ripe peachy fruit on the nose. Reminds me of Puligny to the south. Floral notes and wet, bright limestone. In the mouth it’s balanced but with nice weight. Lots of crisp orchard fruit/apple, nice acids, and a slight bitterish note in the fairly long finish. Again, nice value here. — 10 months ago

At one time, this area was know as a moonshiner site, subsequently planted by Charlie Chenoweth with Pinot Noir. Medium Ruby color with aromas of dark berry fruits with notes of herbs, citrus, herb and spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, ripe strawberry and cherry, espresso, vanilla and herb tea spice, well balanced with acidity. Fine tannins on a long finish ending with cedar, baking spices and earthy character. Very nice! — 9 months ago
Charles "Champagne Charlie" Heidsieck was one of the first to recognize the importance of the U.S. as a Champagne market. A blend with 40% reserve wines, fruit and floral bouquet, with orange blossom & yeasty notes. Fine bubbles, nice mousse, showing quality. Outstanding rich flavors of apple, pear and biscuit, well balanced, good structure, creamy. Long finish ending with toasty nutty oak & mineral notes. — 2 years ago
2023/6 with kinki and fennel seed linguine, pork scalloping, etc. Nice but toeing the line of being a bit simple - almost like a bigger Macon white. Not sure if it’s cultured yeasts or what… — 3 years ago
