Nice full bodied red. — 2 days ago
Too early but an upcoming beauty! Became better and better with air over the evening. @Peter van den Besselaar sorry, I couldn’t resist in opening one 🤦🏻♂️😂 — 22 days ago
Deep and dark, a cool minerality. Bright fruit. Packed, is dense. Beautifully held. Great texture and structure. A stunner! — 5 days ago
2000 vintage. This is one of the better BDX 2000's I've had in the last decade. Opened not decanted. Tasted 1 hour and 4 hours after opening. Feminine body, masculine flavors. Plenty of stuffing and instructive markers laid down along the palate pathway. With apologies to Robert Zimmerman, you ain't going nowhere. 10.2.26. — a month ago
Very good. May 2026 — a month ago
Initially, this was a bit closed with fruit notes dominating, but after an hour long decant it opened up nicely. The nose has mostly cassis and herbal flavors, and on the palate, cassis, tobacco, bay leaf, dried sage, dark chocolate, and graphite notes come through nicely. Has good acidity, and tannins are well integrated. Super tasty and paired well with rosemary and thyme roasted rack of lamb with potatoes and eggplant. — 14 days ago
This was full bodied, drinking well showing dark fruits, spice, earth, graphite & tobacco — 13 days ago
Delicious, was for mid life party — 12 hours ago
Very pleasant, liquorish, mild tannins. Went well with venison pot roast — 16 days ago
Superb for its humble appellation. Delicate nose needs a little coaxing, but when it comes through it’s got ripe lemon, a little moist limestoney gravel, and a faint hazelnut note. In the mouth it’s a little less shy, with a Meursault-like amalgam of smoky gravel, lemon oil, and dry oatmeal, though in a lighter format. Fantastic acids. Finish is quite lingering. Is it worth $90? Well, if you’re in the mood for PYCM and see it on the shelf, then, yes, you take it home. I was, I saw, I took home.
UPDATE: two hours later, as it warms and breathes, holy cow, what a wine. More of everything. Upping from 9.2 to 9.3. Yes, 9.3 for a Bourgogne Blanc. — a month ago
2003 vintage. *Full disclosure* Not the biggest Pavie fan as I've consistently found it underwhelming for the commanding pricing and eternally in need of yet "another hour" in a decanter. Great fill and opened with a Durand but feel that the cork (in great shape) would have come out decently easy with a standard wine key. Given my issues with Pavie in the past, brought over two decanters so as to agitate the wine between them four times. Initial pass, good amount of sediment with the vast majority of it caked onto the sides of the bottle. Yay! Great boysenberry/raspberry nose noted during the first decant. Tasted after two hours. Medium body. Some earth, the aforementioned berries and hints of rich chocolate cake, including frosting, on the scene. Despite all the lavished attention and fuss, still suspect this would show better twelve hours later at breakfast with waffles and Count Chocula cereal. High-maintenance for the bean-counters. 9.26.26. — a month ago

Still holding back after 3 hrs in the decanter. The wine’s concentration and tannic structure promise a wonderful future. At the age of 20, this still feels primary and even hibernating… 😳
I’ll let my remaining bottles sleep for 3-5 years. — 14 hours ago
