Beautiful expression. Fruit and earth; perfect balance. Could drink this everyday. — 6 months ago
The 2004 Cos d'Estournel has an impressive bouquet with black cherries, hoisin, rose petals and blood orange scents, all mixed with melted tar and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied, with a strong menthol element on the entry that rather dominates the terroir expression. It is very spicy on the finish, with cough candy on the aftertaste. It may be a bit bombastic considering the vintage, but it will continue to age in bottle. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)

Along with the majestic 2010 one of my favorite Stella vintages. So giving right off the bat, never any heat even in this warm vintage, just so fresh and clean wafting stunning perfumed aromatics with an elegant, detailed and voluminous palate. Always an amazing expression of Sangiovese. — 6 months ago
An absolute gem. This is a fabulous wine. Perfect for investing, more perfect for drinking. — 2 months ago
Delicious, smelled darker than it tastes. ~1hr decant. Medium body, very well balanced fruits. — 4 months ago

Spectacular expression of northern Syrah. Inky but approachable. Smaller tannins. Lots of youth but excellent to share now. — 10 months ago

Fantastic! Great fine mousse. First impression: big yummy yeast and not much fruit. Med+ acidity. After opening up for 45 minutes, less pronounced (but still significant) yeast, apple, pear, bell pepper, honey and cinnamon. Complex and very nice. — a month ago
