Silver Oak

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

From a 5 Bordeaux grape blend: 81.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.8% Merlot, 1.8% Petit Verdot, 1.4% Cabernet Franc & 0.4% Malbec, aged 24 months French oak, 85% new. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, floral and toasty spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and plump blueberries with notes of herbs, baking spice and toasty notes. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with cacao, toasty oak, fruit and earthy mineral tang. Very nice, aging well, but time will reward! — 10 days ago

Cakebread Cellars

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

First batch of 2021 vintage we’ve tried. We’ve been drinking a few bottles yearly since the 2015 vintage. It just never disappoint and this year is no different. Black berry, some chocolate notes, and a smooth tannin finish. I love this stuff! — 9 days ago

Beaulieu Vineyard

Private Reserve Georges de Latour Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1994

Dried red fruits, baking spices, cedar, Price Albert tobacco, coco nibs, stewed tomato and leather. Maintains good acidity with softened tannins. A bit past its prime but still drinking well.

Perfect wine for watching the Las Vegas Grand Prix!

Heitz Cellar

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Free orchid samples for my stores, Heitz not free.
But so worth it. These need 15-20 years to live up to the name.

I’ve had friends put them in there for the steam from a shower and it worked out.
I prefer indirect lighting like a patio room. Typically they would last 5-6 months before they bloomed out.
Just don’t buy one thats fully bloomed, sometimes they are in a store for a couple months. A fresh one would typically have 4-6 buds that haven’t opened.

And the Heitz was great but from 2 days ago, Delectable takes a couple days now to show the wine you post.

Oh if it’s a garden like this you can use ice cubes placed on top of the roots then drain the ceramic after they melt.

Ridge Vineyards

Lytton Springs Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend 2008

From magnum. Popped and poured into red Solo cups; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2008 pours a deep ruby purple color with a near opaque core; medium plus viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart, red and black fruits: mixed brambles, black cherry, black pepper, leather, dry earth and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium plus. Still pretty fresh and considering this is one of the more long-lived examples of Zinfandel I can think of, there is almost no end in sight. Drink now through 2043. — a month ago
