Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2019

Fantastic. A southeast brunello. Immediately dark cherry, touches of plums, spice, and the acidity and tannins integrated well. As it decanted, the tannins soften drastically with the acidity slightly overpowering, but nevertheless, the fruit stayed and lingered til the end. — 15 days ago

Conca Tre Pile Barbera d'Alba 2021

2021 vintage. A bit of everything. Esteemed producer. Excellent nose. Front-palate richness. Mid-palate power and presence. Pleasantly astringent and beyond substantial finish. I usually eschew Barbera d'Alba for the resto list but couldn't deny this one. Picked up two cases and may pick up more to have laying around for 1.5-2 years. At the ridiculous resto price of $26.67, I can't afford not to. So delicious. 01.29.25. — 8 months ago

È! Orange Nascetta Blend

Funky Bosc pair at the open and Muscat sweetness at the finish.

Would be great on a nice summer day.

Gran Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo 1982

I believe this was Aldo’s top Barolo back in the day(??), this is much more evolved than the 1982 Gaja Barbaresco, drying tannins and some just barely on the downside soy notes detract, as my brother always tells me, rarely are older wines great, but sometimes individual bottles are, still a very good 43-year-old Barolo!! — 4 months ago

Riserva Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2019

Small, family owned winery farmed organically by hand. The riserva has 3 years in oak and could use a little more time to integrate, but already it’s very elegant and aromatic. Beautiful and soulful wine showing very primary right now with raspberry, cherry, balsamic, a bit of leather and licorice with air — 10 months ago

Terlo Barolo Nebbiolo 2010

Apologies for the soiled label. Pale Ruby with a tawny edge - almost transparent. Dusty earthy mushroom aromas. Oak is absorbed and so are the tannins. Barely medium weight, elegant in fact. Interesting for a Barolo / cherry notes on palate. Perfect to accompany food - in this case home made pizza. One of the lightest Barolos I’ve ever tried but very enjoyable. — 3 months ago

Romirasco Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo 2005

Very impressive showing for this Barolo, elegant & complex with red cherry, strawberry, menthol, lots of spice, dried herbs, rose petal & a smoky, tar note — 8 months ago
