Collection 245 Brut Champagne Blend

Lemon, brioche, and hints of mineral and soursop show on the nose, carrying over to the palate. It shows nice acidity on the attack, then takes on weight with a little nuttiness through the middle before concluding with a pleasantly tart finish. — 10 days ago

Great bottle, a bit on the oxidative side but very complex and long, we liked it a great deal. — 7 days ago

Bought from a local cellar. Label was faded and from a time period I wasn’t sure of, so after reaching out to Roederer, they confirmed it was probably 10-15yrs of age.

Still a respectable amount of spritz after removing the cork. Poured gold in the glass. Faint bubbles. I expected it to be DOA, but I was caught off guard at how lively this was! If poured blind, old champagne would not be a crazy call. Brioche, espresso and nutty/oxidized aromatics, with aged champagne type character on the palate. Great texture. Caramel, toffee, golden raspberries, and distinct truffle honey! Wish they all tasted like this.

This was probably $15 when released? They are a good deal these days around $20, but an insane value with age.

Cristal Brut Rosé Champagne Blend 2013

#AgedWineTuesday

Very light salmon in color.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.

Very dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing raspberries, limes, citrus, green apples, yeast, brioche, spices and minerals.

Still very young and needs 10 years in the bottle to mature properly. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 25 years.

A blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay.

12% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$800.

Brut Anderson Valley Sparkling Pinot Noir - Chardonnay Blend

Nice holiday bubbly!! Founded in 1982, Roederer Estate adds oak-aged reserve wines to all their blends to create complex, dry and harmonious sparkling wines. First Brut California sparkling produced by Champagne Louis Roederer. Pale lemon straw, nice mousse and bubbles for this 60% Chardonnay & 40% Pinot Noir blend. Flavors of crisp Apples with creamy mineral tones, nice balance with acidity. Long finish ending with oak, lemon and nutty characteristics. Consistent. Very nice! — 20 days ago

L'Ermitage Brut Anderson Valley Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2017

Golden color, fine bubbles. On the nose pear, bread and butter. First sip tastes and smells like freshly baked bread, followed high acid, pear and peach. A little bit off dry. Delicious. — 14 days ago
