North-South plantings with less pruning against late-day sun (thinned on the South side). 30% whole cluster grapes. Spice, mushroom, pepper - added structure, tannin and savoriness compared to the Estate Pinot Noir. — 2 months ago
Very nice to try one of these with some nice age on it. Purchased directly from the winery last year. I believe this was the first harvest after the full set of Pinot plantings were done. Definitely slightly secondary by now, but still very refined with great hints of dark red fruit, excellent linearity and length, and great earthiness with just enough acid. — a month ago
100% destemmed grapes. Ruby red, soft texture, strawberry, cherry and a hint of vanilla. — 2 months ago
Light but full flavor. Higher acid than tannin but very good. — 13 days ago
Surprised me that it was showing so well at 20 years old! — 17 days ago

"Odedi"
It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Pretty nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing cherries, currants, plums, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 11 year old Merlot still feels fresh and engaging, with a lot of power to last even longer.
This Single Vineyard Merlot is extracted and fruit forward. The alcohol is nicely integrated by now. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Delicious by itself as a sipping wine, and will pair nicely with food too.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
