So I started my wine collecting thing (obsession) around 8-9 years ago. This was among the first wines I bought and they have been sitting in my cellar since. I opened a bottle of this a couple of years ago and today the second one. The first bottle was obviously good quality then, but the wine was still too young: nervous and steely (chablis!). I find it beautiful to see that the first bottles are now coming around into their drinking window.
So this has fleshed out considerably and just entering it's drinking window. A rich creamy texture surrounded by lime, yellow flowers and oyster shell. Enough acidity to support the whole thing. Balanced. — a month ago
2021 is drinking really nicely now. Dark ruby/purple and a big bold nose of plum, vanilla, blueberry and blackberry - in that order. Not too tight or big, but medium acidity and medium large tannins. Long finish with some tobacco and leather once it has opened up a bit. Definitely not a fast sipper, the flavors linger for a good while after each sip. — a day ago
Pop and pour. A brilliant medium gold color. On the nose: lemon, grilled pear, crushed stone, apricot, caramel, and honey. Taste: chalky, lean acid driven style with pear, steely minerality, green apple, saline, orange/lemon rind, and a medium plus finish. YUM! My favorite Napa chardonnay. — a month ago

Pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and lemon citrus with notes of white flowers and spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity, nice balance ending with citrus and flinty mineral character. Will age a bit. — 16 days ago
Delicious and smooth. Brought over by Hayley on a whine & wine night. — 6 days ago
Barrel aged 10 months sur lie! Medium lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with notes of warm baking spice. On the palate ripe apple and lemon flavors with vanilla and nutty toasty oak. Well balanced on medium finish ending, a bit buttery with slight oak and mineral notes. Drink now! — a month ago

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Nose of red fruits with wild flowers, tobacco, eucalyptus, light earth, licorice, light oak, spices and herbs.
Medium plus in body and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with red cherries, currants, plums, licorice, light oak, spices, chocolates, red candy, tobacco leaf, light earth, herbs and light black tea.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is still very young and needs some bottle time to mature properly, but already drinking beautifully.
Rich, yet elegant. Fruit forward, Nicely balanced and easy drinking. Spicy and entertaining.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Showing good potential to become a 94 point wine.
Showing lots of red fruits, especially on the nose, which surprised me a bit. A different style of Napa Cabernet, and very unique.
Needed 3 hours in the decanter to open up. Complex and engaging.
A good sipping wine that will pair nicely with food too.
