Dark in color. Super fruity on the nose. Blackberry and plumb notes. Peppery, leathery, earthy finish. — 16 days ago
Vanilla, oak and spices on the nose that beautifully integrates with tart cherry, blackberry and soft tannins on the palette. Very young wine that is of exceptional quality that would certainly benefit from aging to have tertiary flavors and aromas develop. — a day ago
1 of CA's oldest wineries, Far Niente, founded 1885 by John Benson. Winery flourished until Prohibition, when it was abandoned & fell into complete disrepair. Stately stone shell of a winery purchased in 1979 by Gil Nickel. A big wine! Tropical and stone fruit aromas with complex spice and oak notes. On the palate apple, peach and citrus flavors, creamy, with buttery toasty oak, fig/honey tones. Long finish ending with vibrant acidity & mineral character. Consistent. — 2 months ago
This 5+ year vintage is nicely balanced. On the classic California Cab style side, it paired very well with steak on the grill. June 2025. — a month ago
Block 296. Deep purple. Earthy. Dry. Dark fruit. Just opened it. May open up to be lighter. — 2 months ago

2011 vintage. Light-medium body with above average complexity in both the nose and flavors. Über-feminine style. Tannins definitely resolved. This is ready to go. 06.11.25. — a month ago
