This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Sierra Foothills in California.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Showing black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, earth, black licorice, chocolates, tobacco, spices and peppercorn.
Spicy and rich, yet elegant. Fruit forward and delicious.
Showing great complexity already, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Feels like a Napa Cabernet with a touch of Bordeaux.
Showing lots of black licorice notes on the palate, which I loved, not much on the nose though.
Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years. A good quality wine.
Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour of airtime.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in (50% new) American oak barrels for 19 months. A tiny production of only 4 barrels. Unfiltered.
15.3% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

This wine is all about black olive...never had a wine that has such clarity of flavour in one particular direction. That being said it definately not one dimensional and there is so much to enjoy. We had this with lamb but it could go excellently with anything with tomatoes or even heavier fish like cod or monkfish. — 2 years ago
We loved this one at their vineyard! — 3 years ago
The powerful and dense l’Evangile 2015 is according to some experts the last vintage of the classic style of the chateau. I have no experience with more recent vintages, all I can determine is this wine is wonderful. Fairly fragrant. The palate is voluptuous with a creaminess and melted tannins. Ripe fruits, baking spices, black truffle, olives, peppercorns, rock salt, sweet tobacco, noble wood, chocolate, roasted coffee beans. So opulent and so delicious. — 2 years ago
Black currant and plum amidst loamy earth and wet espresso grounds, light black peppering and river rock. Violets. Young! Grainy tannins, dried lavender and violet, dried savory, cedar, maduro tobacco, bing cherries, black cherry skin, and underripe blackberries and black currants. Do yourself a favor and age this vintage.
