Why can’t all California “red blends” be like this? Full bodied and jammy but highly drinkable, even on its own. Lots going on here: black fruit, leather, vanilla, cloves. The finish is a little short but that’s my only complaint. Outstanding value. — 5 months ago
This wine is all about black olive...never had a wine that has such clarity of flavour in one particular direction. That being said it definately not one dimensional and there is so much to enjoy. We had this with lamb but it could go excellently with anything with tomatoes or even heavier fish like cod or monkfish. — a year ago

The powerful and dense l’Evangile 2015 is according to some experts the last vintage of the classic style of the chateau. I have no experience with more recent vintages, all I can determine is this wine is wonderful. Fairly fragrant. The palate is voluptuous with a creaminess and melted tannins. Ripe fruits, baking spices, black truffle, olives, peppercorns, rock salt, sweet tobacco, noble wood, chocolate, roasted coffee beans. So opulent and so delicious. — 8 months ago
Black currant and plum amidst loamy earth and wet espresso grounds, light black peppering and river rock. Violets. Young! Grainy tannins, dried lavender and violet, dried savory, cedar, maduro tobacco, bing cherries, black cherry skin, and underripe blackberries and black currants. Do yourself a favor and age this vintage.

Aged Yolo County Tannat. With a whimsical name. Dark color with a rusty edge. Smells a bit funky. Spike of berry liquor. Hint of wood chips. Flavors are very heavy on the black currant with a hint of plummy-ness. Might be a bit past perfection. Not as much as much tannin and funk as some Tannat, but has plenty of style. Drinks a bit like a French wine. Wonder who is using these grapes now that Rockwall is out of business? — 5 months ago
"Odedi"
Pretty color of dark red with a wide reddish rim.
On the nose cherries, sweet strawberries, light oak, spices and dark chocolates.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, black cherries, light oak, tobacco, licorice, earth, coffee, light alcohol, herbs and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Sierra Foothills. Fruit forward, soft and elegant.
Nicely balanced and complex, but Needed an hour to open up.
This 6 year old is starting to drink nicely now, and will improve in the next few years.
Easy drinking and good by itself.
Aged in American oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
