Very dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, flowers, asian apices and tobacco. The tannins are very elegant and the wine is very elegant and complex in the mouth. This is a fantastic vintage of Chasse Spleen and the wine is singing now. — 11 days ago
Opened the evening prior at 7pm and double-decanted; the bottle was left at room temp with the cork pressed lightly back into the neck until service. The 2000 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core and a slightly water rim; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous and showing some real power with a compelling combination of ripe and desiccated fruit: dark brambles, cassis, leather, dill, olives, spiced meat, tobacco and soft baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and whoa is it ever delicious. This has to be one of the wines of the vintage. Drink now through 2040. — 10 days ago
Deep ruby with light garnet rim. Warm crushed ripe plum on the nose. Medium acid, gentle but noticeable tannin that smooths with some air. Dark fruit at the beginning, which after some decanting turns to more plum, coffee, dark chocolate, oak and vanilla. — a day ago
Hmm. 🤔 wasn’t able to connect with this, expectingly great wine. Actually first direct out of the bottle it was promising. Strong oak notes with vibrant dark red fruit underneath it. But over the next hour, the oak flavors started to be integrated more but the acidity became very prominent and made the wine rather single note, diluted, lacking depth, acidic tasting. So needless to say. Disappointing experience. Maybe it was not the right day 🤔. — 2 days ago
Went to buy a wake surf board. The store didn’t have any but a wine shop was near by. Saw a TikTok about this and had to try. Still way too young. Has some of the green pepper but wow. Smooth tannins and gorgeous dark fruit. Hints of black licorice. Had a big ribeye so very happy now. — 21 days ago
Super Tuscan at its peak, just beginning to show brickish color on the rim but intense ruby for the most part. The nose starts of with wet forest and red roses and opens to opulent dark berries then wet wood and even wet leather. Palate has persistent fruit throughout with hints of vanilla, polished tannins and bright acidity with a long balanced finish. — 5 days ago

Deep Inky in color with a short purple rim. Looks very young.
Soft nose of black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, light vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco leaf, light black pepper, earth, herbs and black tea.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 14 year old Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Napa feels very young. Rich and powerful. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Great right out of the bottle, and tightened up after 2 hours of in the decanter. Probably needed a longer decant, but it finished too quickly.
This Single Vineyard will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
