Vintage 1997 | Tasted blind, after unwrapping I saw it stood next to Moulin Touchais. A unique opportunity to taste the two next to each other. This is true to type Chenin Blanc, with a beautiful smell that consist of Turkish Fruit, hay, honey, impressions of ananas and tangerines. Awesome balance, very vibrant and elegance. I adore this wine. Dutch bottling. 25 years old without signs of becoming too old. — 2 years ago

On the nose, this is blackberry and violets. On the palate, this evokes a blackberry liqueur with Dutch licorice presenting right at the entry... Some bark too, but not in a dirty way. Lumber mill. This wine is not rustic at all but more savory in a classy dinner party way. The tannins are not the show here either but rather provide a soft bed for all that blackberry... The floral goes all the way from the nose through to the finish with a medium length. In our area this was a great, great value that I'll keep an eye out for! — 2 years ago
