Silky smooth nose, velvety and soft, with forewarned black currants, just a LITTLE pepper, dark cherry and maybe a little pine forest floor? Some sediment and still grippy tannin, but starting to really loosen, with prominent ripe red fruits of dark , brooding plum, cherry and dark fruits, with hints of graphite, wood, and smoke over a still zingy finish. — a year ago
Best bottle yet!! PnP. Dark red color. Sour cherries and green elements on the nose. Sweeter than normal which was nice. Medium depth and full of flavor - burning wood. Great QBR! Sad it’s my last bottle but have the ‘13 vintage in the cellar. — 2 years ago
Medium deep ruby , garnet rim . Quite closed at first , touch of spice , wood smoke , grafite , coffee, cocoa . Touches of blackberry , cassis , violet . On the palate quite rich and young still , lots of tannin , balanced alcohol and fresh acidity . Cassis , tobacco , blackberry . Mineral , tobacco tinged finish of excellent length . Still young needs more time , better in 5 or 10 years and will last well a further 20. Great potential ! — 5 months ago
2010 vintage. Classic Pauillac with ripe cassis, lead pencil, and cedar wood. Still very young, but a class act. Concentrated, profound, and impeccably balanced, with layers of black fruit, a serious structure of haute couture tannins and balancing acidity. Long, mineral finish. Impressive, but nowhere near its peak. — 10 months ago
Quite closed on the nose right now. Closed yet rich. With black currant leaf, a bit of cedar wood, a hint of dark plum.
On the palate this is already surprisingly ready. Very elegant, the tannins velvety, juicy, so finely grained & smooth. Amazing quality. Poised, impeccably balanced, with great depth. This is quite spectacular. Even if it’s infanticide. — 8 months ago

Dark ruby in color with a wide brick rim
Earthy nose with light oak, black fruits and tobacco.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, wood, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee, licorice, dark chocolates, black tea and black pepper.
Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 35 year old is still drinking beautifully. This Second Growth Bordeaux is nicely balanced and complex.
Peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 10+ years.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 4 hours. I did not decant it, but let it open up in the bottle.
Wine Spectator 96 points.
A good food wine that I paired with beef brisket. Gorgeous.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Medium bodied, light acidity, a little dry. Bouquet opens up to notes of dark berries, plum, leather, liquorice, tobacco. Well integrated tannins. Pleasant to drink! — 2 months ago
