Solid Italian red…with hints of Napa. More than the deliciousness of the wine is the deep love I have for my life partner. Although we are wrapping up our 25th anniversary trip to France and Spain, we are embarking on the next 25+ still in deep love with one another. Can’t wait to see where our journey takes us next. Thank you God for delivering me my perfect mate. — 15 days ago
Delightful! — 15 days ago
Vanilla, oak and spices on the nose that beautifully integrates with tart cherry, blackberry and soft tannins on the palette. Very young wine that is of exceptional quality that would certainly benefit from aging to have tertiary flavors and aromas develop. — 9 days ago

Cherry, plum and pomegranate fruit, with iron, graphite and herbal notes. Good QPR. — 3 months ago
A decent entry-level “Super Tuscan.” I’m curious about its cellaring potential given the WS review below.
WS: 90. Flavors of cherry, strawberry, sanguine, iron and Mediterranean scrub are supported by a solid structure in this red, which is balanced overall, with dusty tannins and a resonant finish. Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2026 through 2040. 27,500 cases made, 10,200 cases imported.

Strong and consistent tannins merry my favorite grapes that came from a mountain! Can you believe it? — 16 days ago
Light and fragile wine from Toscana. Wonderful image of sea-inspired wine, which has also sun-ripe fruitiness inside. — a day ago

Chosen because it had a boar on it. Quite good though - a lighter style, well balanced via blending. At Osteria di Giovanni in Florence. — a month ago

I have bought every bottle of this I've seen in the last 9 years or so. Purely nostalgic reasons. It's not the best Super Tuscan. It's not expensive. But, it just reminds me of every meal I had during my time in Tuscany. Somehow the price jumped from $20 to $30. I blame Trump. Every year has been pretty consistent, but 2013 was world-class. This 2020 is great, and if it weren't hailing out right now, I'd go grab some steaks from the market. Cheers, friends!
