This is still young but drinking superbly. Plenty of acidity to offset the sweetness, very long finish. Aromas and flavors of pineapple, orange blossom, honey, peach, apricot, dried apricot, ripe pear, candied lemon, ginger, saffron, vanilla - so much going on in the glass! Exceptional wine with excellent balance of sweetness, flavor intensity and acidity. Has many years ahead of it but hard to resist now. — 3 months ago
Excellent orange / skin maceration wine with some age on it. Enjoyed at Monterey in midtown with tonight’s special Lobster El Diablo (spicy tomato sauce with 3lb lobster flambéed in tequila). Good acidity and some good flavor with the spice. — 14 days ago
Color of dried orange peel or Hot Tamales. Beautiful little firecracker.
Smells oxidized, though crisp in the mouth. A duality of candy and fresh fruit, like biting into a caramel apple. Deep, and whole, and very appley indeed. Also dried apricots and butterscotch and fresh peach.
A deep, complex wine that could go the million and one directions of a human mind. — 2 months ago
Golden , orange tinged centre , lemon yellow rim . Very aromatic, clementines, orange rind , saffron , creme brûlée , caramel. On the palate rich and intense but with very good balance from fresh acidity . Orange syrup , saffron creme brûlée with a slight burnt caramel touch on the finish . Long and powerful , this is ready but will carry on at this level for another 10-20 years — a month ago
