Medium bodied, light acidity, a little dry. Bouquet opens up to notes of dark berries, plum, leather, liquorice, tobacco. Well integrated tannins. Pleasant to drink! — 6 days ago
Dark and brooding, the flagship 2017 Lady May from Glenelly is effusive from the first pour, with aromas of black cherry, purple herbs, baking spice and chocolate. The palate is distinctly savoury, with a spicy quality that represents quite a contrast from prior vintages. This is an altogether quite serious offering and perhaps lacks the glossy suave character of, say, the 2015, which I prefer at this stage. But this should be absolutely fantastic in around 5-10 years’ time and I can’t wait to try it again. — a month ago

Wow. A truly wonderful delicious Bordeaux blend from South Africa -no less. My first from this country. 2003 vintage still bringing it. Near perfect Harmony with a lush delicious mouth feel with a long finish. — a month ago
Juicy and structure - fun — a month ago
Mid crimson in colour. Lovely Cabernet aromas with a trace of blue fruits and a hint of violets. Very balanced and harmonious on the palate. Elegant. Plenty of flavour intensity and only 12.5% ABV. Tannins are fine but persistent. So balanced almost nothing stands out - the characteristics of a lot of great wines. Will cruise on to its 20th birthday and beyond.
