Friday night after kings. With pasta superb aromatics and palate — a month ago
This should cellar longer. Maybe another 5 yrs before I try again. Decanted over 3 hrs. Tight in first hour. It needs a lot air now. Many layers and complex fruit. It lingers. Meaty after taste. Dark fruit. Earthy. I liked it very much and look forward to the next one. — 2 months ago
Great dessert wine — 17 days ago
1971 vintage. Top shoulder fill. Used a Durand but fully saturated cork still required some clean up on aisle 7. Decanted and tasted after 5 minutes. Threw much much less sediment than expected. Decent color with a little browning. Tertiary nose gave way to similar flavors with it being very slightly brickish. In a holding steady phase where there is no shining light to chase after-everything is consolidated and filed away so you're tasting the interpretations of history. Instructive. 6.13.24. — 22 days ago
An excellent Napa floor Cab with tastes of blueberry, blackberry, kirsch and vanilla. Full bodied, well balanced. New World for sure. Will be good for many more years — 17 days ago
Medium deep ruby , garnet rim . Lighter cooler fruits , touch of spicy cassis , dry spices , touch of coffee . Lighter, redder fruits on the palate, cranberry and redcurrant with some cassis , quite light and small boned , grafite and tobacco notes . Good acidity , with lighter but still gritty tannins . Ok length . This is quite light but enjoyable now and over the next 5-8 years — 2 months ago

Pop and pour. Cork broke. Huge wine with loads of caramelized blood orange, but medicinal herbs on top. On the palate: caramel coated red fruit, licorice, anise, and soft heat. In an excellent place, but this btl could as easily be dead as stellar in 10 years imo. — 12 days ago
