Traditional Bordeaux style, old school presentation: red currants, cigar box, herbs, red fruit, some cassis, Left Bank nose & palate. Full bodied, elegant, lovely integrated tannins. Supple delicious and a solid offering from a venerable producer from Lebanon — 3 months ago
This has something for everyone. Zippy fruit, yeasty, and good depth. Best part is it isn’t crazy expensive for a comparative bottle — 6 months ago
First post in a very long time after a series of personal and professional setbacks that could have ended badly. Had this beautiful GSM last night - first wine drinking in a while. It was lively with fruit, medium acidity and a long, fine finish. Hi everyone! — 12 days ago
Opened about 8 hours prior to service and Audouze’d. The 1995 pours a pale garnet with a transparent core and a watery rim. There significant variation of the rim too. The viscosity is medium and there is no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing (still!) with notes of bright red cherries, anise, garrigue, cedar forest, leather, dry earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The body is quite light and thin…but healthy. The finish is medium. Very pretty; very Burgundian. This bottle belies its age. Drink now and through 2030. — 3 months ago
Brief notes. Showed better than the 2013 vintage we had in December 2021. Quite rich, sweet and fruit driven as well as spicy notes. Tasting more new world in this warm vintage. A good wine without being great. Have the last one in a couple of years ie 2026. — 6 months ago

Dark golden in color with a brownish hue.
Light nose and very dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing lemons, apples, spices, light over ripen citrus fruits, earth, light wood, herbs, light vegetables and white pepper.
Short finish with limes and bitter herbs.
This 28 year old is a little past its prime, but still drinkable and interesting.
I had higher expectations, but at this age, it really depends on the individual bottle. That said, I still enjoyed it.
Needed 30 minutes to open up properly.
Good by itself as a sipping wine.
100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

A dry rose that I just love! — 3 months ago
Lovely to finish a long evening.
Paired w/ shortbread w/ Macadamia nuts.
I like their craft. This is good but will ascend for 10 years.
Reductive in style. Pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, lime zest, white peach, light tropical melons, cheese cloth, cream, some mint, bread dough, yeast, limestone alluvials, sandstone, light white spice, sea fossils, baguette crust, yeastiness, bread dough, yellow lilies, jasmine, Spring flowers, round crisp acidity, well balanced, nicely knitted, with a smartly polished, elegant finish that’s lasts two-minutes. — 4 months ago

Another beautiful champagne from the Launois family. A pale old gold color with nice perlage and intensity. Freshly baked bread and green apple aromas for days. Melons and white peaches with herbs for good measure. There’s an innate sense of lemon zest in the air that’s just magnificent.
Pure Grand Cru Chardonnay from Mesnil-sur-Oger. Four years of aging on lees gives this a resplendent and stately nature. Nice acidity and a superb mouthfeel, especially on the second day. Apples and chalk on the palate alongside vibrant citrus fruits. I struggle to think of a better value in Champagne than this. Stock up. — 13 days ago
