When Lafon is on they’re so damn good and 2011 Genevrieres is superb, with notable density and concentration for the vintage, and perfectly developed for age 13, with a seamless balance of richness and elegance. It’s captivatingly aromatic with defined fruit, pastry cream and toasted macadamias layered in stony minerality, and the palate is so elegant and satiny with balanced acidity and a long, silky finale. Just gorgeous. — 2 months ago

Epic vintage that is just starting to open up. Accessible but a lot more complexity should develop with time, based on the secondary characteristics that started to show with air — 18 days ago
Opaque red blue. Vegetal and floral aromas with muddled blueberry. Medium plus bodied, medium plus alcohol. Blueberry emerges more prominently on the palate. Unbelievably smooth, round and well integrated. So complete. Tannins are perfect here, just enough to cut the beef tallow and provide an enjoyable finish. I can only imagine this will get even better, but why wait. This is near the top of my historical scale.

Quite rich and big. Hint roasted hazelnuts meyer lemon. Clearly high quality juice. Some tannins. Hint orange juice. Touch pineapple. Overall lacks depth. Nice though but $$$. — 11 hours ago
