Nose - wet clay pot, rose petals, leather, crayons . Main flavors - apricots, nectarines and plum and unripe cherry. Mid taste is sweeter and then finishes dry but not too dry. Very very nice! — 6 months ago
+2 hour decant(little fine/cloudy sediment). A brooding dark magenta color. On the nose: very aromatic notes..lots of blackberry, floral, pencil lead, wet forest floor, sweet oak. Taste: blackberry, cassis, bitter chocolate, herbs, pepper and a gravelly/new leather long finish with some still there kickin tannins. YUM! Gonna give my next bottle a few more years for a better score. — 9 months ago
Inky fruit purple garnet. To organic, wet forest floor. Great minerals and river stones. — 2 months ago
2nd Ribcap wine. Delicious!
2006 followed the grand 2005 vintage. It was overpriced based on 2005 & critically reviewed as a difficult vintage. I can tell you 06 was overpriced, but still a good to very good vintage depending on the region & producer.
The fruits are classic Bordeaux…nicely ripe; blackberries, black raspberries, very dark cherries, black plum, plum, mix of strawberries & red cherries. Wet, volcanic clay, lead pencil for days, slightly, dry tobacco, dark spices, mix of mostly dry & fresh herbs, clove, nutmeg, some cinnamon & vanillin, volcanic ash, used leather, sandalwood to cedar, forest floor w/ dry leaves, dry river stone, steeped, dark fruit tea, withering, slightly candied; dark, red florals with hints of violets, round, fresh, river stream acidy, a plush, round, elegant, nicely; tensioned, structured, balanced and elegant polished finish that last 90 seconds. — 5 months ago
Medium Ruby with aromas red fruits, black tea and ample floral spice, aged in 20% new French oak for about 10 months. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with notes of tobacco, cedar, black pepper, tea and vanilla spice. Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with fruit, herb, spice and wet stone character. Very Nice! Aging well! — 8 months ago
Incredible river rocks, wet forest bark and purple berries. — 3 months ago
Muscadet doesn’t get much better than this. Lemon zest, tart green apple, tons of wet rock, screaming acidity. So good. — 7 months ago
This wine was love at first sniff. Medium garnet in color, a mesmerizing perfume of blackcurrant, ripe blackberry, sweet spice, wet tea bag and cigar box introduces the 2001 Château Ducru Beaucaillou. What an elegant, drop-dead gorgeous nose! Medium bodied and silky textured, the wine shines with remarkable balance and wonderful complexity. Drink now until 2030. — 2 years ago

What a special treat. First time trying a post WWII 1949 Bordeaux. Color is a cloudy tawny port. Nose - red fruit, currants, wet musky soil, herbaceous and a hint of mint. Taste - ripen plum-strawberry, dried herbs, old worn leather and baking spice with a short medium finish. Making history in my wine tasting experience. — 9 days ago
