For my palate, exactly where I would want an aged CdP to be. Still has fruit and grip, but with secondary elements supporting and adding complexity. Really fantastic. — a year ago
Unctuous with velvety tannins right off the get go! So rich but not cloyingly so… acidity for balance. Best CDP I’ve had in some time. 2014 paired with grilled rib steak. — 4 years ago
Classic CdP and an iconic producer. Blackberry, dark fruits, herbs, spice, olive, earth. Full bodied, but low-to-medium tannins and great concentration. Fantastic with Mediterranean food. — 4 months ago
2013 vintage drink late 2024. Fairly intense, medium tannins, and enough fruit. Lacked a bit of the savory, black olive characteristic that I love so much in CDP, but no real complaints here. — 6 months ago
Nose of black tea, portobello, baked plum and soft, unctuous cherry. Kirsch-chocolate, blood orange, French roast, marigold, ferromagnesian elements. Coffee, baking chocolate, black cherry skin, cigar smoke, venison jerky, char, cassis, and vine charcoal.

A lovely tarry note initially amongst the red fruits. On the medium weight palate sweet and savoury red fruits. Love CdP from a good year like this one. 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinsault and the remaining 5% split between Muscardin, Counoise and Vaccarese. Completely destemmed and fruit driven. Soft pliant tannins. — a month ago
