Fascinating, after my recent run of so-so to DNPIM (do not put in mouth) CdPs from 25 or so years of age, here’s a “basic cuvée” of CdP (think $18-20 bottle on release) that is punching far above its weight, red fruits, very fine CdP that is drinking great now, long, lingering finish, and shows promise for another 3-5 years of aging!! — 18 hours ago
Excellent CDP, bright fruit (raspberries/strawberries) on the nose, follows through on the palate, well balanced - only drawback is a slight wooden feel on the back end but easy to look past. Opened up wonderfully after a couple hours. JW big fan. Powerful enough to stand up to red meat despite being a Rhône — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2021 pours a deep ruby color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with fabulous, bright notes of Bing cherry, strawberry, star anis, red flowers, black pepper, cool spices, and stoney earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is a beautiful example from one of the more Burgundian producers in CdP, making wine in a very Burgundian vintage. Lovely stuff. Drink now through 2036. Bottle No. 28340 — 25 days ago
One of the better 03 cdp wines. Smoked meat. Great acid. Still strong red fruit with a touch of spice. — 3 months ago
Focus on the finish, inverse of CdP. — 3 months ago
